Biomuseo - Bridge of life

Designed by architect Frank Gehry , winner of the Pritzker Prize and recognized for the innovative and unique ways of designing buildings , the Biomuseo is his first work in Latin America and the tropics. The building was designed to tell the story of how the Isthmus of Panama rose from the sea , uniting two continents , a vast ocean separating into two and changing the biodiversity of the planet forever.

The museum, 4,000 m2, will have eight permanent exhibition galleries , designed by Bruce Mau sequentially Design.

The permanent exhibition is titled Biomuseo Panama : Bridge of Life . Eight galleries - Eight " artifacts amazement" tell us the origin of the Isthmus of Panama and its huge impact on biodiversity.

Besides being an architectural icon , also plans to have a profound impact on the educational work of the entire population , particularly in biodiversity issues .

The Biomuseo is located in the Amador Causeway , a prominent entrance to the Panama Canal into the Pacific Ocean area . From Biomuseo can clearly observe the profile of the modern city, the Old Town , Ancon Hill and the Bridge of the Americas.
